Week 2: Solo retrospective show Wood engraving and fungi spore prints

A selection of original limited edition wood engraving prints & wood engraving blocks from around 1990 shown in a variety of exhibitions across Scotland and England including an exhibition I had in New Orleans, USA in 1993. These woodengraving prints are all that I have left from the whole series of limited edition wood engravings that I have made. There are some first editions in this show and an artists proof.

This show also includes a painting called "Forest floor" from 2011, from a series of paintings I made based on Mycorrhizal Fungi. Both the painting, which includes collaged real mushroom spore prints and the wood engravings came from years of collaborations with my brother Dr Andy Taylor, a Mycologist and senior research scientist at the Hutton Institue in Aberdeen.

The TIG gallery are hosting three one week retrospective exhibtions, to show the development of my art work since 1989 to present. These are being shown during July 2017 in the run up to my latest solo exhibition at the TIG Gallery opening on 1st August until 31st August 2017. This exhibition will show new paintings based on Argyll's secret coast.
